Dry ice transport
For over 10 years, we've been supplying dry ice to various industries. In our webshop, you'll find not only the dry ice itself, but also various solutions for transporting it. For example, we offer packaging in various sizes and the necessary labels for transport.
Dry ice for (refrigerated) transport
Dry ice has a wide range of applications and, thanks to its cooling effect, is ideal for refrigerated transport. This includes long-distance air travel for vaccines or truck transport of food. When transporting dry ice, the insulation of the transport packaging is crucial. To ensure safety, this must take place under controlled conditions. Dry ice must not come into direct contact with its surroundings while unpackaged during transport.
That's why you can buy simple, yet well-insulated boxes from us with a 3 cm thick polystyrene wall. These boxes are specially designed for transporting dry ice. They withstand the low temperature of dry ice and prevent gas from escaping. We also use this packaging ourselves for our dry ice deliveries.

Safety during transport
With an extreme temperature of -78 degrees Celsius, dry ice is classified as hazardous. Dry ice not only has a very low temperature, but it also converts directly from a solid to a gas. Therefore, it's crucial to ensure safety. Proper packaging helps with this, as do regulations regarding the transport of dry ice. For example, you must use various labels, such as the UN 1845 label.
Tips for safely transporting dry ice
- Ensure good insulation of the vehicle
- A means of transport with a separate loading area
- Good ventilation during transport
