Cleaning with dry ice

Dry ice cleaning uses small pieces of dry ice (pellets) as a blasting agent using compressed air. This method is called dry ice blasting and is an environmentally friendly cleaning solution. How does dry ice blasting work?

The process of cleaning with dry ice consists of three steps:
1. The dry ice pellets are accelerated in the compressed air and hit the dirt at high speed. This removes part of the dirt immediately.

2. In this step, the temperature of the ice plays an important role. Dry ice has a temperature of -79 degrees Celsius. When the ice particles hit the dirt, the extreme cold causes the dirt to freeze and crack.

3. When the dry ice particles hit the surface, they sublimate from solid to gas. This increases the volume by 700 times, causing the dirt to explode and be completely removed.
